Partner of the Czech participation at EXPO 2025, Granát Turnov will present a gold jewelry set created for last year’s World Expo. The set will be on display at the Museum of the Bohemian Paradise in Turnov (Czechia) from March 28 to April 26, 2026. Visitors can look forward to echoes of EXPO 2025 and the award-winning Czech Pavilion.
With this participation, Granát Turnov builds on its long-standing tradition of presenting both the company and traditional Czech craftsmanship at world exhibitions—having previously showcased its work in Montreal, Brussels, Osaka, Aichi, and Shanghai.
“Being a partner in this project meant not only the opportunity to present the Granát Turnov brand on a prestigious international stage, but also a chance to showcase the beauty of Czech jewelry tradition and cultural heritage symbolized by Czech garnets,” says Petra Pavlištová, Commercial and Marketing Director of Granát Turnov. She adds: “This project helped us strengthen our brand in Japan, and I believe it also opened the door to long-term cooperation. EXPO 2025 was an important milestone for us, creating further opportunities and confirming that patient and systematic work pays off.”
The set consists of a necklace and earrings made of 14-karat yellow gold (585/1000), set with two exceptional stones of Czech origin. The dominant element is the Czech garnet—unique for its deep red color and historical value—complemented by green moldavite, a natural glass of meteoritic origin. The third element is a diamond, a gemstone that enhances the uniqueness of the jewelry.
The set is designed in a spirit of modern elegance while sensitively referencing Czech cultural heritage. Every detail has been crafted with an emphasis on precision, symmetry, and harmony. The EXPO 2025 gold set is not just jewelry—it carries a story. A story of Czech garnet, which has adorned monarchs and prominent figures for centuries and today continues to represent Czech craftsmanship to the world.
The unique jewelry set was also part of additional programming during EXPO 2025, including the project Ballet of Tomorrow: The Symphony of Cloud, for which Granát Turnov was the general partner. This unique fusion of ballet, opera, piano music, and modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, holography, and virtual reality premiered on August 1, 2025, in the auditorium of the Czech Pavilion. Jewelry by Granát Turnov adorned the dancers’ costumes, becoming part of this extraordinary cultural and artistic experience. The performance also placed 5th in the Expolympics competition in the Best Presentation category (at EXPO 2025), surpassing many strong competitors.
The artistic cooperative from Turnov in northern Bohemia has been producing traditional Czech garnet jewelry since 1953. In the past, it has completed numerous prestigious commissions for prominent international figures, including Charles III and Camilla, Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, as well as Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI. Before the start of the World Expo, an elegant brooch was also presented—during an official visit to the Czech Pavilion—to the wife of former Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.
More information about the exhibition and the jewelry can be found on the museum’s website.
