Visitor Regulations of the Czech Pavilion at EXPO 2025 Osaka

1. General Provisions

  1. This visitor regulation sets out the rules of conduct and safety for visitors to the Czech Pavilion at the EXPO 2025 World Exhibition in Osaka.
  2. By entering the pavilion, each visitor agrees to abide by these rules and follow the instructions of the staff and exhibition signage.
  3. Visitors acknowledge that the premises of the Czech Pavilion are monitored by CCTV for the purpose of ensuring the safety of individuals, property, and pavilion operations. The footage is stored in accordance with applicable legal regulations and is not used for any purposes other than safety. By entering the pavilion, visitors consent to this data processing.
  4. Visitors enter the pavilion premises at their own risk.
  5. The pavilion premises include:
    • uneven surfaces, stairs, and steps,
    • freely placed objects, cabling, chairs, and integrated wooden seating,
    • narrow passageways and spaces with artistic objects.
  6. Visitors are advised to exercise increased caution when moving through the pavilion and to be aware of their surroundings.
  7. Neither the operator nor any other entities involved in the Czech participation at EXPO 2025 (hereinafter referred to as the “operator”) shall be liable for any injuries or damages caused by negligence or violation of visitor regulations.

2. Opening Hours and Admission

  1. Access to the pavilion is permitted during official opening hours: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM.
  2. Admission is free unless otherwise stated and is only allowed during the designated hours.
  3. The pavilion operator reserves the right to adjust the official opening hours as needed.
  4. Children under 12 years of age are only permitted entry when accompanied by an adult.

3. Visitor Journey

  1. The visitor route is one-way, ascending in a spiral shape, followed by a descent via the internal staircase.
  2. The elevator is intended exclusively for wheelchair users.
  3. Visitors with strollers are required to leave them in the designated area near the entrance, as directed by the staff.
  4. Touching exhibits is not allowed unless explicitly stated.
  5. Photography for personal use is permitted unless prohibited in specific parts of the exhibition.
  6. The following are prohibited:
    • taking freely displayed items from the pavilion unless they are explicitly marked as gifts for visitors. In case of any doubts, please consult with the pavilion staff.
    • littering outside of designated waste bins,
    • placing glasses or other objects outside designated areas,
    • polluting the pavilion premises in any manner.

4. Special Areas

CTP Business Lounge

  • A premium area designated for business meetings and networking.
  • When no events are being held, the area is open to visitors as a dining zone.
  • Visitors are required to:
    • maintain peace, order, and cleanliness,
    • respect the nature of the space as a professional and social venue,
    • refrain from placing glasses on the terrace façade ledges – this poses a risk of falling and injury or damage. Violating this rule may result in immediate removal from the premises.
  • Any damage to furnishings or equipment will be assessed and charged to the visitor responsible.

Terrace

  • A premium viewing area with a panoramic view of other EXPO 2025 pavilions. The terrace is intended for viewing and relaxation in a pleasant setting.
  • Do not place glasses on the terrace façade ledges – risk of falling, injury, or damage. Violation of this rule may result in immediate removal.
  • In windy weather, glasses must be held in hand at all times to avoid tipping over and breaking.
  • Leaning over the terrace façade is not permitted, including when taking photos with a mobile phone. There is a risk of dropping the phone, which could fall on visitors below.
  • Any damage to furniture or the façade will be assessed and charged to the visitor responsible.

Daisue Hall (Auditorium)

  • Entry is allowed only with staff permission.
  • Visitors must:
    • maintain cleanliness,
    • not bring food; drinks are allowed only during official events.
  • Food and beverages are only allowed during business conferences and special events.
  • Any damage to equipment will be assessed and charged to the visitor responsible.

5. Safety and Order

  1. Visitors must always follow the instructions of staff and exhibition signage.
  2. In the event of an emergency or evacuation, visitors must follow staff directions.
  3. Visitors are liable for damage caused by violating the rules.
  4. Intentionally and unjustifiably triggering the fire alarm system is a punishable offense.
  5. The operator is not responsible for lost or unattended personal belongings.
  6. For safety reasons, visitors should also take note of the following:
    • The pavilion includes uneven surfaces, stairs, narrow passages, and freely placed items – caution is advised.
    • CCTV surveillance is in place to protect people and property, and visitors consent to this by entering the premises.
    • Glasses and other items must not be placed on the façade ledges or other unsuitable areas – risk of falling, injury, or damage. Violation may result in expulsion.
    • Access to certain areas (e.g., Daisue Hall) is regulated and permitted only with staff approval.
    • Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas of the pavilion, including the terrace, and this applies to electronic cigarettes and heated tobacco products.

6. Lost and Found

  • Please hand over any found items to the pavilion staff.
  • The operator is not responsible for personal belongings left unattended

7. Smoking Policy

  1. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the entire area of the Czech Pavilion, including:
    • indoor spaces (exhibition areas, backrooms, storage, offices, auditorium),
    • all outdoor areas, including the terrace, the rear section of the pavilion, and the path adjacent to the rear section of the pavilion.
  2. The ban also applies to:
    • electronic cigarettes,
    • heated tobacco devices (e.g., IQOS).
  3. Smoking is only permitted in officially designated smoking areas of EXPO 2025.

8. Final Provisions

  1. This visitor regulation is issued by the Commissioner General of the Czech participation in EXPO 2025, who is responsible for the operation and management of the Czech Pavilion.
  2. The operator reserves the right to modify or supplement these regulations at any time, especially for operational, safety, or organizational reasons.
  3. By entering the pavilion's premises, visitors agree to comply with the rules stated in this document.
  4. Violation of the rules may result in expulsion from the premises or liability for damages.
  5. Visitors must comply with the instructions of the staff, security personnel, or authorized representatives of the EXPO 2025 organizer.
  6. This visitor regulation is available in multiple language versions; in the case of discrepancies, the Czech version shall prevail.
  7. These regulations enter into force on the day the pavilion opens to the public.
