Herbarium - part 1

Lasvit Herbarium Designer Mária Čulenová-Hostinová Hand-blown Bohemian crystal glass Poems Walking Is a Prayer by Michaela Horynová and High Seat by Klára KrásenskáThe exhibition also features an artistic glass installation by the globally renowned Lasvit company. Herbarium designed by Mária Čulenová-Hostinová becomes a specific moment of suspension – a materialization of time that nature usually leaves to evanescence. In the process of casting dry plants into glass, a delicate alchemy takes place: the direct touch of nature is captured in a state of perfect petrification, an imprint that does not lose its original shape or meaning. It is an act of attention, sensitive documentation of the transient, paradoxically gaining the strength of a monument in its fragility.

Herbarium reminds us of the connection between human and nature, a relation that is intuitive rather than rational. An imprint of flowers, preserved in Czech crystal, presents nature not only as a source of beauty and inspiration, but also as a live record, as proof of our ability to perceive what transcends us.

The sublime nature of the overall message is enhanced by the poetry of leading Czech authors Michaela Horynová and Klára Krásenská.
