The Czech Pavilion at the World Expo 2025 stands out not only for its architectural design but also for its light. All lighting equipment is provided by the Czech company ROBE Lighting, a global leader in professional lighting technology. In August, the company organized a special event, ROBE DAY, at the pavilion, which became a platform for presenting its latest technologies and for meeting with international partners.

During the event in Daisue Hall, ROBE introduced a selection of its most advanced technologies – from cutting-edge fixtures to innovative solutions for theatres, concert stages, and architectural installations. Guests had a unique opportunity to see the products in action and discuss their potential applications in cultural as well as commercial projects. The event brought together representatives of companies, cultural institutions, and major event organizers. Japan, as one of the world’s foremost centers of modern technology and culture, is also among ROBE’s target markets within the Indo-Pacific region.

“We are delighted to be part of the Czech Pavilion at EXPO 2025. We supplied Czech-made lighting technology with a clear purpose: to ensure that the events, performances, and cultural programs here deliver an unforgettable and high-quality experience for all visitors and guests,” said Josef Valchář Jr., Commercial Director of ROBE Lighting.

Beyond this special event, ROBE Lighting plays a key role in the everyday operation of the Czech Pavilion. Its technology has illuminated many significant moments – from the official opening with Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský, to the Czech National Day attended by President Petr Pavel and Her Royal Highness Japanese Princess Takamado, and the visit of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands. A particularly symbolic gesture was the lighting tribute to Ukraine, when the pavilion was illuminated in the colors of its flag during the visit of four Ukrainian ministers on Ukraine’s National Day.

“Every program in the Czech Pavilion gains a completely new dimension thanks to ROBE’s lighting. We often forget that light itself is the key to creating an unforgettable atmosphere. ROBE proves this at every step and confirms that the Czech Pavilion is truly a place where art, technology, and business naturally come together,” said Ondřej Soška, Czech Commissioner General at EXPO 2025.

Through its in-house development and commitment to quality, ROBE Lighting has established itself as one of the market leaders. Today, its products illuminate concerts, theatre stages, television studios, and architectural projects worldwide – and at EXPO 2025, they confirm that Czech innovation truly has a global reach.
