Jiří Oslizlo, CEO of NOVATOP
The Czech National Pavilion, made possible thanks to the NOVATOP system, is itself a unique exhibit and a masterpiece of Czech timber engineering. The project posed an extraordinary technical challenge for a team of top Czech experts. NOVATOP elements form a key part of the load-bearing structure of the iconic wooden spiral, which wraps around the entire Visitors’ Journey for a length of 349 meters. Its production involved over a year of meticulous preparation, and each of the 155 geometric structural components is unique. Hundreds of hours of precise work on design, documentation, and manufacturing ensured that every piece fit together with the accuracy of LEGO bricks, enabling a smooth and rapid assembly process.
This project significantly elevates the Czech timber sector on the international stage, showcasing the immense potential of wood as the construction material of the future.
