About the Organization
Military Forests and Estates of the Czech Republic (VLS ČR) is a purpose-built organization that manages extensive forest and agricultural areas owned by the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic. The company’s main goal is to sustainably manage forest and agricultural resources within areas designated for military training. Key activities include forestry, gamekeeping, agriculture, fishery, and property management. VLS ČR works closely with the military and other institutions to ensure not only the security of Czechia but also the ecological stability of the landscape.

Military Forests and Estates of the Czech Republic at EXPO 2025
VLS ČR contributed to the construction of the Czech National Pavilion at EXPO 2025 in Osaka by supplying 400 m³ of high-quality spruce wood from the Boletice military training area in the South Bohemian Region. This contribution highlights Czech wood as a sustainable building material of the future and helps promote its value on the global stage.
