The waffles feature the mascot René. René is originally a crystal mascot from the Czech Republic galaxy, playful and friendly like glass itself. He embodies the theme of the Czech Pavilion at EXPO 2025 and refers to the work of glassmaker René Roubíček from EXPO 1970 in Osaka. As a symbol of friendship with Japan and a tribute to Czech glassmaking, René is also presented in his green 'uranium' form, which adorns the packaging of the spa waffles.
