Czech participation at the EXPO 2025 World Exhibition is establishing a significant partnership with the Czech technology company OKsystem, which is developing an application for the Czech National Pavilion. Czechia is thus aligning with the trend set by Japanese organizers, who aim to leverage modern technology more than ever before. Tickets for EXPO 2025 are currently available exclusively online, and all payments within the exhibition grounds will be cashless. The cooperation agreement was signed by the Commissioner General of Czech participation, Ondřej Soška, and the CEO of OKsystem, Vítězslav Ciml.
"The World EXPO is a significant showcase of individual nations, and as a traditional Czech company, we want to support the national exposition. Such a partnership is also beneficial for our international activities, as EXPO is well-known among our business partners worldwide," says Vladimír Fuchs, Director Commercial of OKsystem. He adds: "Japan and ASEAN countries are important to us because this region has the highest number of industrial robots sold and installed globally. For these industrial robots, we provide our customers with the Checkbot software."
The company anticipates that its participation at EXPO 2025 will help establish new business partnerships, raise awareness of its brand and innovative products beyond the Indo-Pacific region, and present itself as a stable, trustworthy company with 35 years of tradition, recognized as a leader in its field.
"Reliability, tradition, competitiveness, and innovation – these are the attributes that resonate with potential Japanese customers and business partners the most. High-quality companies in the field of information and communication technologies, such as OKsystem, undoubtedly have a great chance to succeed in the Japanese market. Moreover, with the support of the state, which plays a strong role in Japan, Czech companies are provided with a unique opportunity through our participation at EXPO 2025, lasting an impressive six months," says Ondřej Soška, Commissioner General of Czech participation at EXPO 2025.
OKsystem is one of the largest Czech software companies. It has been involved in the development of applications that have been part of the critical state infrastructure for over 30 years. The company develops custom software and operates successful products. The product OKbase is among the leaders in the Czech market for personnel systems, with customers including hundreds of companies and hundreds of thousands of users. Another product by the company is the Checkbot application, used by its customers in 15 countries worldwide, such as the USA, Germany, Finland, and France.
For the Czech National Pavilion, the company is developing a mobile and web application that will be utilized by both organizers for managing reservations and visitors to the pavilion. It is expected that the Czech National Pavilion could receive 12,000 to 15,000 visitors daily. Through the application, users will learn about what and where they can see within the pavilion, navigate through the pavilion with a virtual map, discover details about the exhibited items, and reserve their spots for various events held in the multifunctional auditorium, on the rooftop terrace, or in the CTP lounge—whether cultural or business-oriented. The application will also showcase the partners of Czech participation, including news updates, and feature a section for frequently asked questions.

About the Czech Pavilion at EXPO 2025 In December 2022, after more than twenty years, the Office of the Commissioner General announced an open, anonymous architectural competition to design the National Pavilion for EXPO 2025. Thirty-eight studios have participated, and in March 2023 a jury of experts led by the world-renowned architect Eva Jiřičná selected the winning design: a glass spiral by Apropos Architects. The main structure of the building will be made of modern wood panels, while the façade will feature art glass, which has a centuries-old tradition in Czechia. The National Pavilion, which will be located on the artificial island of Yumeshima in Osaka Bay from April to October 2025, will provide a prestigious setting for Czech participation at EXPO 2025. The pavilion will house a permanent exhibition, a multifunctional auditorium, facilities for business meetings, restaurants, a CTP lounge, and a relaxation area overlooking the sea.
About the Czech participation at EXPO 2025 This will be the sixth time that Czechia has taken part in a world exhibition as an independent state. Ondřej Soška, who won the Ministry of Foreign Affairs selection process with his concept and theme "Talent and Creativity for Life", has been serving as Commissioner General since September 2022. Czechia aims to showcase not only what the Japanese already know and admire, such as Czech glass and classical music, but above all Czech innovations, nanotechnologies, promising start-ups and talent from the regions.
