The World Expo 2025 in Osaka has reached an important milestone – the number of visitors has surpassed 20.25 million. This happened on September 6, exactly 147 days after the opening of the exhibition site on Yumeshima Island.

This symbolic figure refers to the very year in which the EXPO is taking place. To mark the occasion, the Japan Association for the Expo held a special ceremony, which was broadcast live via the Virtual Expo application. In his opening remarks, the Association’s Secretary General, Hiroyuki Ishige, expressed deep gratitude to all visitors who attended the EXPO despite the extraordinarily hot summer. He also emphasized that the goal is for every guest to leave the EXPO with an unforgettable experience, and he expressed his hope that visitors will continue to enjoy the exhibition until its closing. Only 35 days remain until the end of the EXPO.

The celebrations also include special digital activities: from September 13 to 23, visitors can obtain a limited edition of digital stamps and AR photo frames commemorating the achievement of 20.25 million visitors.

The Czech Pavilion has also recently reached an important milestone, welcoming its one-millionth visitor.
