The Faculty of Music at JAMU is a leading institution in arts education, combining tradition with innovation. It nurtures young talents in classical, jazz, and experimental music while promoting international collaboration. Beyond top-level teaching, the faculty engages in artistic research and unique projects, including a special performance for EXPO 2025 in Osaka.
In cooperation with DISK Systems and CESNET, students and teachers will connect Brno and Osaka via low-latency streaming technology, enabling real-time concerts across continents. The event will feature a world premiere of a piece for percussion and piano by renowned Czech composer Martin Smolka, performed by leading percussionist Martin Opršál and pianist Kento Satsuma.
This project highlights how technology can break barriers in live music collaboration, uniting cultures worldwide.
